Wow, perspective in life change if you find somebody. Meeting beautiful ladies no longer become an exciting feature in life. People who praise your ability doesn't seem to excite you no more, but you are thankful though because praises and great feedbacks shows that people appreciate your works.

Isn't it strange though. We once tell ourselves that we would never compromise on certain issues but somehow or rather, we mellow our ego when the right person appears.

It's not about it being good or bad. Changes do happen constantly in our lives as we get exposed to different and various environments. What matters most is what happens next and how we deal with the change. Of course, there would be some people who would comment on your sudden change in character and why compromise certain principles. Well, if it's for the better, we should not be bothered by it because at the end of the day, you will be making tough decisions and having to deal with it. At least you know, you had the guts to take that step.

Life is so full of surprises when you don't go looking for them.

VIP treatment

My stay at Raffles Hospital. Level 10. I was patient number 7! Hehe...



This bed is soOOOoOOoo comfortable. I miss it the most.



The first night was the worse. Temperature went as low as 15 degrees celcius. Hello? You think I'm an ice-cream is it?



Facilities that they provide include free Wi-Fi, DVDs, VCDs, XBox, PS2, PS3 and a pool table. Thank god I brought my lappie. I would die of boredom if I didn't.



Meet my roomies. Left, Chun, centre, Darren. Both NTU engineering students. One is a lifeguard, the other is a wakeboarder and photographer. But most importantly, they made my stay memorable with our crappiness. All of us realized that HBO kept on repeating their movies. Yup. Being that bored, even cable TV could not entertain us no more.

The first thing that my roomies and I did was to eat chicky rice near Bugis. Having fed similar meals every single day without being able to consume extra butter or chilli sauce nearly made me insane. But with 2000 dollars at stake, it was worth the torture.



I love chicky rice!!! We ordered a lil too much that day. But nevermind. It is a reward well deserved.



This is Vincent. The guy I randomly met while eating my first meal. We were criticizing about the the World Pool Championship being held in Manila back then.

Memories, memories, memories. I wouldn't want to go back there anytime soon. I need the rest from the pokes and probes.

Chinook

Today, I went to see my father play badminton. It has certainly been a while since I last see him dance around the court in such graceful fashion. He still got the touches despite his age and seeing him enjoy the game made me remember my moments too. We have had our disagreements before when he used to coach me but through disagreements, we got closer and I became stronger and more hard-headed.

And I was very pleased to ride side by side with him on the way home. I felt it was a way of showing him that his son is all grown up and ready to face the world. I used to be his pillion for close to 10 years; sending me to primary school and silat practices. =)

I can't wait to send Chinook over to be painted again. Breathe new life into that soul. Can't wait. Truely. Beyond.

Thank you all who came down for Stella By Starlight's show on Starry Starry Night. The guys had loads of fun and I certainly enjoyed myself. It's been a while since I last had fun on stage. 4 piece is certainly easier to coordinate, despite me being hospitalized for 1 week.

That being said, Stella By Starlight will be performing again this coming Saturday at the Eurasian Association Community Club, 24th November 2007 at 10pm. The event starts earlier. I'll put the event on Facebook.

Amnionitis

Today I got lucky. I didn't get the real dosage. If I did, I would have been quite dizzy right now. Food is very restricted here. We cannot have more than what was given. 1 butter means 1 butter. 1 bread means 1 bread.

To get more food, you have to give your share to the others. But who in the right state of mind would do that. But over here, we operate things in stealth fashion. Some gamble off their share of food over a game of pool. An extra bowl of soup would be the minumum wager. Can't expect to play over some yucky peas or carrots. Eeeww.

Life is not all about gambling. We do risk certain things along the way to learn something. We gamble our heart, commitment and even material wealth for something that we might not know of its outcome. But having faith and belief remove doubts towards our end goals and objectives.

I look at the very hospital bed that I have been sleeping on for the past 2 days. After solat, I visualize myself during my last days in this world. I hope, by then, I have already done enough to make people remember as a good, honest and sincere person.

We do chase after ambitions and our instincts to survive sometimes eludes us from performing our real duties as Muslims. Don't forget our obligations and help as many people while we still can.

Day 2

I love the hospital bed. I never had a proper bed before because I either sleep on the floor or on the sofa. With this bed, I didn't have to adjust my head position with pillows. Instead, just press the button and VOILA! -zenngggggggg- (sound of the machine tilting slowly)

CNN about Pakistan and some small midget on HBO. Boring.

Time check : 1730hours

Time for dinner. Gotta fill up the tummy now.

Update. What I've done so far.

1. Play my Football Manager
2. Chat on MSN
3. Watch cable tv
4. Play pool
5. Dinner
6. Sleep

Now I just had supper. I have to consume them within 30 mins. They are REALLY REALLY strict about this.

The only complain I have about the stay is just the temperature. It's freezing cold. I am like a meat in a freezer. Put penguins in my ward, and they'll have a party all day long.

I am test subject number 7. Yup. My number. I'm supposed to be number 8 but apparently, one of the guy didn't show up. So, they shifted me down to 7. Woohoo!

Papua New Guinea

For the record, I'm not in hopsital because I fell off the bike. I still have a clean record and proud of it.

Today's the first day where I am helping out Pfizer to find a cure for HIV. In short, I'm the guinea pig. They'll test out the medication and see whether there is any AE (adverse effect). Actually the worse that would happen to me would be diarhoea. So I'm still in the clear zone.

The bed is amazingly shiok! I have no words for it. With the touch of a button, I can move it up and down!!! I'm am damn suaku lahh! =D

Free wi-fi, DVDs, PS3, free cable TV, round the clock HBO. Hey, what else can I ask for? I canlah I wouldn't want to go there yet. Hehe.

Fast and Furious

I literally full-throttled, 110km/hr my way down the highway at 1am in the morning, in the pouring rain. With no visor to cover my face, I wore my red aviators. Of course vision was blurred but I had to go home quickly. Because of that, I nearly skidded. I could feel it.

I will be warded in hospital for 1 week. Message or call for anything ya. Take care.
