Train Ride

Great things never come easy. Success is synonymous with having belief, sacrifice and hardwork. Ask any successful people and they're bound to tell you the same thing. I know of many who are earning substantial amount as a financial analyst or as a manager at a financial institution but all of them shared that they do not have any personal satisfaction from working. That was one of the challenges I personally faced right after graduation and landing that first job.

Give anybody a million dollar and I will bet my bottom dollar, that 99% of the population will certainly leave their job and chase their passion or dreams; be a baker, open a cafe, be a musician or open a recording company. The 1% that still remains will still remain working at the bank. I mean, we still need to pay somebody to take care of our fortunes, don't we?

That aside, CEO or Zappos.com even mentioned that if one works hard towards something that he or she is good at, they will travel far in life. Get ready for the differentiating factor that seperates the successful ones from the less successful ones.

The differentiating factors lie in my first paragraph. Everybody LOVES to cook or play music but what seperates Limpbizkit from other bands is the amount of hardwork and sacrifice that they had put in that propelled them to the world stage. Jamie Oliver works hard at the kitchen and have faith that through cooking, he can create a movement towards delivering his message; to cook good, healthy food to everybody.

Bottomline, if you are so passionate about something, chase them and when you work hard towards it, the money will come in naturally. Remember, do really well in something that you are passionate about and the payoff will be something unimaginable. Bono and I can sing the same song but nobody is going to pick me over him to perform at the VMA because of the pure fact is that he is Bono.

Decisions are often made on the best information and knowledge that one has. But most of the time, many fall into a well of contemplations on whether it was the right decision that was made.

We cannot run away from the fact that we are just a single cell, living in a very structured but chaotic worldly habitat. We are often swayed by opinions and judgments, this in turn overrules our natural thought process, the ability to make decisions based on our own merit, and not others.

At the current moment, the world is not a blossoming tree, with fruits for everybody to taste and share. Many are out of jobs and the decision to be unemployed is one that was carefully thought through and despite the glooming period that many experts forecasted, my own ricebowl is not dependent on people. That is how i survive, knowing that my rezeki falls in the hands of the Almighty. What I need to do now is just focus and do what I had sought out to do 6 years ago. Time will tell on whether I can run faster than before.

But whatever it is, the decision has been made and all that I should be doing is to do a Forest Gump and never look back.
