Let me, your Wedding Singer, entertain you and your guests on the start of your journey to plentiful joyous moments ahead.
Myanmmar, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Nearly 3/4 of the exchange students have already crossed borders to experience the challenges of travelling; fear, uncertainty and people. Some of their stuff got stolen in their hotel rooms in India, one overpaid his ticket for a boat ride while others just got sick of travelling with one another. As I said, it's not about what you see, it's about what you see in yourself.
I may be one of those who might be facing some of these misfortunes. Hope not. Travelling alone ain't at the top of my list right now but when unforseen circumstances happen, you just can't avoid what awaits you. I'm gs have been happening and part of me wants to go back to Singapore soon but the other rebellious half told me to slap myself in the face and go straight to my travelling spots.
Anyways, I've gotta go and buy enough pillows for the coming days. My parents, granny and lil sis are coming down to Bangkok. It's great to have family coming down. By the way,
my sis entered a singing competition and got interviewed. What's wrong with the picture above is that she entered a CHINESE singing competition. That girl has balls man. She was the only non-Chinese participant I think. Don't know about this Farhan boy though. And she sang An Jing. -shakes head-
My cousin was the first Singaporean to visit me along with his good friends. There were a few others before him but attempts for us to meet were fruitless because I was constantly out of Bangkok. He was a lucky guy. Anyway, it was nice to see him. It's been a while. Playing host to first timers was fun too.
Met up with some peeps from school. Yoriko and Sun. Bf Thai, Gf Jap. =D Cute couple.
Took a shot with my red lenses.
This is Zul. My cousin.
From left, Zul, Man, Fad.
Whacky and fun trio. They look gangsterish but more like the 3 stooges when they want to. We were on our way to Wat Pho.
Inner beauty...
... lies from within.
Band photoshot.
Ok, so at least I've managed to show them MBK and Wat Pho to ensure that they have been culturally enriched. =D Time to head to my apartment for dinner. The boys wants me to cook. Luckily Zul was a chef in the army. Made my job easier. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Dishes: Chicken rice, egg platter, sambal chicken and fried vege. Enough to feed an army of 4.
Fad can't wait no more. Lol.
Here's some after-meal entertainment. Fad has sportingly enough granted permission to post this here. Be kind ok.
This dude just keeps cracking me up. He's a sport and a very humble and sincere guy. Has a big heart. Truly. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I didn't follow Cholsu, Edison and Aman for the Multi-Rural Field Trip because I had to complete a my IT/ IS project assignment due Wednesday. The weekend was the only time my groupmate was free.
Everybody meet Mr Sexbomb.
He was my model.
My actor.
And of course, the group's Superstar.
This is the video presentation for our project on How to be an overnight blog celebrity.
This one is on RFID.
Had fun doing this. Just got to know on the same day, that my groupmate, Bonita is a Superstar. A true one. She has a music video on Channel V. She's not in this group photo. She had to leave early.
Check this link out.

Her band name is called Alize. =D
So right after group meeting, I had to go and meet the boys. Show them around Jatujak but went to meet them at a very simple spot. McDonald's MBK was ideal. But when I got there, I saw kids dressing up like Japanese Animes. Goodness. Some were uglyyyy.
But this one...
She's hawttttt.....
How in the world did they manage to get into that outfit? They sewed it onto their skin or something?
Kawai~ne. Apparently, there was a CosPlay going on. It is short for Costume Play where people dress up as their favourite cartoon character or something. In short, just be cute.
Anybody lost their dog recently?
This girl here reminded me of my lil sis. This pose is popular among kids now.
Goodness, she has cute eyes and cheeks.
Too weird.
Too lavish.
If you guys have any questions about Thailand, do message me soon because I'm not too sure how long I will stay in Thailand. Once term is over, I'll travel to the remaining South East Asian countries around Thailand on my own. If there is anybody out there who wants to follow, please message me early. Only serious applicants please apply. Lol.
Had another night of good meal and laughter with the boys. They really made my week. Missing them already. It would be great if I have somebody as roommate. But sometimes, living alone lets you do your stuff, the way you want it.
Ok, remember my Valentines Day where I raised funds for the orphange? Well, I'm went there to deliver it to them personally. Rie was the only one who was free to come along. It was a good opportunity to visit Pattaya anyway. Took the bus from Ekamai and the trip was about 2.5 hours long. Cost about 130 baht. Slept on the bus like a baby because didn't really rest well the night before.
When we reached the Northen Bus Terminal in Pattaya, I called the Headmaster and she told me to wait while somebody will come and pick us up. I was hoping for a ride in a taxi but instead, there was somebody who brought a card with MY NAME on it! That was a first. Felt shiok. Haha. Don't ask why. He then led us to our second surprise. He opened the door and led us into a shiny new car. Goodness me. Macam superstar. Hahaha. So happy.
Even ducky managed to share our happiness.
That's the nice man who picked us up.
Let's see what's in store for us aight?
This is the statue of the founder. Initially, he took one orphan baby. More came and he took them in too. Now, there are more than 300 occupants within the compound of the school and dorms. They include homeless youths, the blind and disabled and of course the orphan babies. They go to school and study with the volunteers as teachers and caretakers.
Peter was our guide for the moment. He's a full time volunteer from Hungary.
These are the babie's cradle.
Hey you...
That's Peter and his adopted son.
This little one was spreading his arms for me to carry him. I smiled and picked him up.
He's cuteeeee.
Baby: Hello Everybody who reads Jamiel's blog. Some of my friend's have already been adopted. The school here have agreements with authorities in Denmark and Italy. There's promise for a brighter future for us there.
Little infant with small infant voice: Hello you sexy people who don't want to study but likes to read Jamiel's blog. I'm just a few months old and only certain people can come in and take care of us. We're very fragile. We don't know who our real parents are. Sometimes, some of my friend's parents are too poor to take care of them. That's why we are here. Be blessed that you have a good family. Be grateful that you are still able to receive proper care and loving from your natural parents.
When I have a child, I hope my child would be as pretty as her.
I almost didn't want to let her go. Just want to cuddle her. SO CUTEEEEEEE!!!!!
Baby boy 1: Eh bro, is this guy the new kid that Peter was talking about? Baby boy 2: Not too sure man, I ain't giving up my baby cot for him. He's a lil too big isn't he?
Volunteer at work.
Phew, finally, managed to pass the money to the headmaster, Kun Toy. After what I've seen, it was worth the sweat and tears. To be honest, on the first day of busking, the sound system was not functional because the fuse was out. I nearly cried thinking that I've failed to do anything for the orphans and I begged god to help the kids through me. I begged him so much in my heart and Vell made a call. A sound technician was apparently just around the school compound and was able to help with the situation. I thank Allah for that. Your humble servant thank you for that.
I hope the kids will grow up strong and contribute back to the home because there are a few orphans who are actually working at the orphanage and taking care of the orphans. Amazing. Hats off to my heroes.
Kun Toy was gracious to spare us 2 rooms for the night. Free lodging. Goodness... Me and Rie were very lucky.
Since there was no plans for us, Rie and I went to rent a motorbike and scoot around Pattaya on our own with just a map in hand.
I stumbled upon a mosque in Pattaya and prayed my Maghrib in congregation. There's no difference. The words of Allah came out from the voice of a Thai is no difference from a Singaporean Chinese Muslim. Colours and nationalities were not present in that mosque. Only words of Allah. Please show your humble servant the right way, the straight way and protect me from harm and love those who have loved me all this while and open up the hearts of those who have ill-feelings towards me. Amin.
The mosque was semi-finished. Dust was still on the floor and yet prayers resume as per scheduled.
Pattaya by the beach.
Rie in black and white.
Had seafood for dinner.
And even managed to jam with a band in Pattaya.
If you guys would like to know, Pattaya is quite famous for its red light district. Passed by lots of bars where the ladies will pull you in and touch you in areas where you hope they wouldn't. Yup. You heard me right. Saw gaybars and this particular bar, called "The Classroom". Man... would love to learn something in there. Hehe...
Going back home will certainly be a pain in the ass because we have to wake up early in the morning to catch the morning bus so that I can head back in time for my afternoon IT/ IS class.
Time check. 2am. God help me.
jamiel Mee goreng Pattaya. I didn't find ANY MEE GORENG PATTAYA when I was there. ZERO. I think they didn't orginate from Pattaya. Singapore, you've been cheated. Could have originated from Khazakstan. Then we would have to call it Kazhakstan Rice.
