Emotional Economics

On my way back from jamming yesterday, something struck me and I asked Yuhong whether the law of diminishing marginal returns can be present in a human relationship.

The Law of Diminishing Marginal Returns. Most of us are quite au fait with this concept. Right? But let's just recap in its simplest form.

You have a bread plant. And the more workers you add to your plant, more fresh bread will be baked. BUT, it will come to a point where as you add more workers, less bread will be produced. So what do you do to bake more bread while increasing your workers? Add a new plant.

So, if we were to apply it in a relationship, what happens when we are facing the law of diminishing marginal returns? And how do we solve it?
