So here's the deal. People are constantly being persuaded to buy stuff that they cannot afford. On top of that, I'm very sad to see even advertisements from Suria, asking its viewers to buy first and pay later. You're not helping the community for goodness sake. Bad enough, my own community has its share of problems, mainly divorce rates, children born out of wedlock and drug abuse. Of course they don't represent the bulk of the community but even if it is not so, these are still critical issues that needs to be addressed and tackled.
Buy first pay later. It is a great selling scheme to entice consumers who THINK they can pay for tour packages or even gold and jewelries with installment plans. I try to create simple principles of life; if you cannot afford, don't buy. Don't owe people money if you can because you can never wake up feeling good when you know you have to pay off a certain debt. And mind you, sometimes, when we think we can pay off these debts, the unexpected can happen. You might need to usage your savings for any rainy days. So now, what happen to your debts?
I'm not here to make choices for people nor am I enforcing one to conform to my way of thinking. It's just a general rule and I guess most would agree. If you can't afford, don't buy. And please, for you business people outside, don't scam my community into another big hole. We need to start educating on savings not spending.
