Arms Wide Open

I have been feeling a lil burnt out lately. It's really, really hard, holding a day job and trying to clear as much as I can so that I can find time to play and practice my music. At the back of my mind, I feel that time might be running out for me in music but somehow, God gives me a lil bit more time and space to allow me to continue running towards my dream.

Soon, I will be running off to Melbourne to sing for a wedding. Just yesterday, an opportunity came and I might be singing for a wedding in Brunei. That sounds like a great chance indeed.

I'm really burnt out. I want to go out but I feel that sitting at home, with nobody disturbing my time-out would be a better idea; just drinking coffee and watching a marathon of FRIENDS and Oprah.

I met up with a investment director from Dubai and we had eggs and toast over breakfast. He asked lots of questions about my background and strengths and advised me that the corporate world is not suitable for me. Why bother he said when at the end of the day, I will feel frustrated and not enjoy the job. When you do something that you like, the output will exponentiate more than doing something that you do not enjoy. I believe I still have more left in me in music and songwriting.

It's not over yet. There's still more to be done and I will certainly make news somewhere, somehow. This boy will live his dream.

I just need to hold on to a hand for now.
