DNA

Today I woke up to a snoring start at the Singapore Science Centre. We did an experiment on our cheek cells to find out our DNA. As always, I hated science and slept at every opportunity given to me whenever the scientist was not looking. I felt like secondary school kid once again, one that couldn't be bothered by the subject because he's going to fail it anyway. The only time I felt awake was when we had to don our white lab coat and do the practical lessons.

Basically, at the end of the lesson, I learnt that our DNA was able to tell us the kind of genes that we have; the good ones, the harmful ones, the naughty ones, the sleepy lethal ones. Debating discussions soon followed on whether it was good if selected people knew about the information of our DNA. To me, knowing it makes me worry. As what the scientist said, all of us may carry a sleeping cancerous gene cell but that doesn't mean that we will have cancer. Perhaps by knowing that we have and worrying about it, we might trigger it accidentally. Who knows?

Random thoughts. Dimples and freckles were considered human defects. That's what somebody told me. I love em. It's hard to find people with freckles and dimples together. Reminded me of Dennis the Menace.

Thailand is getting nearer and I just got to know that there are 2 Chulalongkorn students on exchange in SMU. I need to learn Thai from them. Gonna look for them tomorrow. Pom mai. Learnt that recently.

ja
i am Superman. Frecklesanddimples are my kryptonite. they make me go weak.
