A day at Nong Kai

Morning morning everybody!!! I'm now at Nong Kai eating breakfast at this Vietnamese restaurant called Sunflower. My favourite flower. This shop is the deal. Check it out below.

Right after breakfast, we went to the Jade Temple. Sounds interesting right? Let's see.

The area that I was pointing was literally blinking away. I'd guess that's where the jade is! BLING BLING YO!

Does this remind you of any particular beer?

Let's go in

It is truly specatular. The interior drawings depicts some events that has happened in Thailand or at the temple itself.

"I see something in your future... It is bright. You will spend a lot of money. My advice, switch of the lights when you're not using them"

Blessings.

Light.

This is actually the ceiling. It looks very French or Italian.

So, after spending half an hour at the Jade temple, we then went to a unique temple where a special person still resides.

When we reached the place, we were greeted by something that is just out of this world.

A clearer picture. Looks like Wolverine.

Below the giant statue, lies words written in Thai.

"Ladies and Gentleman. If you are bad or greedy, you are evil"
"This place will teach you how to be good in this life"

Darn straightforward and direct.

Below are some shots of the many statues and sculptures that I saw.

Mind you, this is not a small figurine. THIS IS WHAT I TOOK FROM FAR.

Rest. Took a short breather by the pond. The shade served us well.

Ah Chan Dong and Ah Chan Neng. Peekaboo huh.

A baby boy and his mother. He's mixed. Spanish Thai. Lucky him. But I was far cuter when I was young. Bleah.

Ok, this is the guy that I was talking to you guys about. Apparently, he was the one who initiated this temple. He had a dream and he had visions on how each statue would look like.

More pictures of him.

Well guys, THIS is him. 11 years after his death. He knew that his body would not decomposed and therefore he told the people before he died to keep him sealed. Unbelievable? Believe it.

The caretaker.

Some Hindu Gods.

Buddha statues.

My favourite statue.

An uncanny similarity with a Ramayana scene.

My favourite shot.
