Went down near to the border of Laos to do some window shopping. I heard this place is cheap.
This building reminded me of Chinatown.
Don't know what these words mean. Can any of you enlighten us?
So now, what you are seeing is actually the Mae Khong river. The concrete slabs in front is actually an extension of the coastline. Maybe it's for commercial use. Not too sure. But bad urban planning. Not good for the nature.
That's Laos on the other side.
We wanted to go to Laos but Edison and I would only have 15 days on our student visa if we cross over instead of the usual 4 months. We have yet to apply for multiple visa, which is more meant for crossing different borders. Shall apply soon.
That's our van. Rented it. Quite cheap actually. 1000baht for the whole day with a very friendly and pleasant driver.
Going down towards the river itself. Nice view. It's actually a public beach.
That's the friendship bridge at the back. It's like the Causeway.
Scorching hot.
The yellow chef.
Finally there. Touched it. Pictures in my old textbooks can finally be touched.
Being a public area, people make business with the opportunity given. Reminds me of my childhood, going to Sembawang Park and just picnic with fellow cousins and relatives.
Eh, where's my contact lens ah???
Hmmm..., Fishies. Must get fishies....
Stuntman in the making.
Brother, you reckon the fishes would come if I were to pee over here?
Well, I've tried just now and do you see any fishes around you?
Crapz...
Ah Chan Neng actually became a monk for 2 weeks. He led the daily life of a month to cleanse himself.
Time to go back.
I'll be there. Soon.
Gotta feed the hungry boy! Seafood LUNCH!!!
Let me show you how to prepare a vegetarian popiah. VERY HEALTHY. Fruits and vege.
Put banana.
Put starfruits.
Put cucumber.
That's the name and the logo of the restaurant.
After lunch, we went to SWENSENS!!! It's cheap. $2!
Went home with a stomach full of dairy products.
