When we reached the Northen Bus Terminal in Pattaya, I called the Headmaster and she told me to wait while somebody will come and pick us up. I was hoping for a ride in a taxi but instead, there was somebody who brought a card with MY NAME on it! That was a first. Felt shiok. Haha. Don't ask why. He then led us to our second surprise. He opened the door and led us into a shiny new car. Goodness me. Macam superstar. Hahaha. So happy.
Even ducky managed to share our happiness.
That's the nice man who picked us up.
Let's see what's in store for us aight?
This is the statue of the founder. Initially, he took one orphan baby. More came and he took them in too. Now, there are more than 300 occupants within the compound of the school and dorms. They include homeless youths, the blind and disabled and of course the orphan babies. They go to school and study with the volunteers as teachers and caretakers.
Peter was our guide for the moment. He's a full time volunteer from Hungary.
These are the babie's cradle.
Hey you...
That's Peter and his adopted son.
This little one was spreading his arms for me to carry him. I smiled and picked him up.
He's cuteeeee.
Baby: Hello Everybody who reads Jamiel's blog. Some of my friend's have already been adopted. The school here have agreements with authorities in Denmark and Italy. There's promise for a brighter future for us there.
Little infant with small infant voice: Hello you sexy people who don't want to study but likes to read Jamiel's blog. I'm just a few months old and only certain people can come in and take care of us. We're very fragile. We don't know who our real parents are. Sometimes, some of my friend's parents are too poor to take care of them. That's why we are here. Be blessed that you have a good family. Be grateful that you are still able to receive proper care and loving from your natural parents.
When I have a child, I hope my child would be as pretty as her.
I almost didn't want to let her go. Just want to cuddle her. SO CUTEEEEEEE!!!!!
Baby boy 1: Eh bro, is this guy the new kid that Peter was talking about?
Baby boy 2: Not too sure man, I ain't giving up my baby cot for him. He's a lil too big isn't he?
Volunteer at work.
Phew, finally, managed to pass the money to the headmaster, Kun Toy. After what I've seen, it was worth the sweat and tears. To be honest, on the first day of busking, the sound system was not functional because the fuse was out. I nearly cried thinking that I've failed to do anything for the orphans and I begged god to help the kids through me. I begged him so much in my heart and Vell made a call. A sound technician was apparently just around the school compound and was able to help with the situation. I thank Allah for that. Your humble servant thank you for that.
I hope the kids will grow up strong and contribute back to the home because there are a few orphans who are actually working at the orphanage and taking care of the orphans. Amazing. Hats off to my heroes.
Kun Toy was gracious to spare us 2 rooms for the night. Free lodging. Goodness... Me and Rie were very lucky.
Since there was no plans for us, Rie and I went to rent a motorbike and scoot around Pattaya on our own with just a map in hand.
I stumbled upon a mosque in Pattaya and prayed my Maghrib in congregation. There's no difference. The words of Allah came out from the voice of a Thai is no difference from a Singaporean Chinese Muslim. Colours and nationalities were not present in that mosque. Only words of Allah. Please show your humble servant the right way, the straight way and protect me from harm and love those who have loved me all this while and open up the hearts of those who have ill-feelings towards me. Amin.
The mosque was semi-finished. Dust was still on the floor and yet prayers resume as per scheduled.
Pattaya by the beach.
Rie in black and white.
Had seafood for dinner.
And even managed to jam with a band in Pattaya.
If you guys would like to know, Pattaya is quite famous for its red light district. Passed by lots of bars where the ladies will pull you in and touch you in areas where you hope they wouldn't. Yup. You heard me right. Saw gaybars and this particular bar, called "The Classroom". Man... would love to learn something in there. Hehe...
Going back home will certainly be a pain in the ass because we have to wake up early in the morning to catch the morning bus so that I can head back in time for my afternoon IT/ IS class.
Time check. 2am. God help me.
jamiel
Mee goreng Pattaya. I didn't find ANY MEE GORENG PATTAYA when I was there. ZERO.
I think they didn't orginate from Pattaya. Singapore, you've been cheated. Could have
originated from Khazakstan. Then we would have to call it Kazhakstan Rice.
